David Keith Lynch (born January 20, 1946) is an American filmmaker, visual artist, writer, and musician. The recipient of an Academy Honorary Award, Lynch has received three Academy Award nominations for Best Director, as well as two César Awards, the Palme d'Or, and the Golden Lion Honorary Award.
